Their love story is all moons and stars, however, one incident occurs that makes her question about their relationship. Filled with a lot of trigger warnings and love, this book got adapted into a movie in 2024. The movie stars Blake Lively as Lily Bloom and the director of the movie Justin Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid. Both of them showcased a lot of chemistry on-screen.

The movie was a huge success, with a lot of fans who fell in love with the book saying, the movie DIDN’T do justice to the book. Although many people went to watch the movie (which we did as well) came back disappointed. Especially the bookworms. They mentioned how the movie didn’t include the major scenes and even rushed the one scene that they were waiting for. Many critique also commented that the movie was emotional and had a lot of trigger warnings. The success of the movie entirely relies on the acting and also the cinematography. Justin Baldoni had shot some great shots that are very aesthetically pleasing.

It Ends With Us collected a total of over $100 million globally. The movie has a rating of 6.6/10 on IMDb. The movie can be called a huge success of 2024. The movie is currently available on rent on Prime Video and Apple+. The team have recently announced that they will be releasing Bluray and DVD versions of It Ends With Us on November 5, 2024. Fans probably will flock to the stores nearby to buy the DVDs and to watch the movie on their television screen with their friends or loved ones.

It Ends With Us became a huge success shortly after its release. There were a lot of people who even hated the idea of the movie. They believed that the cast is not very suitable for the characters. In the book Lily Bloom is a 23-25 years old girl. Blake Lively, though beautiful, doesn’t resonate a young adult lady. Even Ryles Kincaid was in his late twenties, and Justin Baldoni playing the part was not very acceptable for many people. Initially when the behind the scenes of the movie was the internet, people talked about the horrible dressing sense of Lily Bloom. They made jokes saying “Atlas is supposed to be the homeless guy”!!! Funny isn’t it?

It Ends With Us and the Drama on Set

There were a lot of dramas on the set of It Ends With Us! Blake Lively and her team did the promotion seperately from the director Justin Baldoni. Many people pointed out the Blake Lively isn’t taking the movie very seriously. The story of It Ends With Us follows a very triggering story of abuse and violence. However, noone from the cast seemed to discuss the important highlights and themes of the movie except for Justin Baldoni.

Justin Baldoni acknowledged the people who are or were in an abusive relationship. He even mentioned that the film tries to understand them and make them feel that they aren’t alone and can ask for help anytime. He talked about a lot of other things including mental health. Audience really appreciated the efforts of Justin Baldoni for speaking on importang matters. Blake Lively, however, didn’t speak on any of these matters. Even during the premier, she didn’t mention about abuse or violence or about any major themes of the movie. She simply mentioned:

Many fans and viewers pointed out the insensitive behaviour of Blake Lively towards such an important topic. During the premier, her husband and his friend, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman respectively, were also present. Three of them posed at the red carpet. Fans were worried that Blake Lively wanted to market the movie as Barbie. Many fans took to Twitter and said “Miss Lively wanted her own Barbie moment”.

This is very right. For years women and men have been speaking out about domestic violence and abuse. Being deaf and dumb about a topic, that is the main theme of your project where you are playing the main character is very stupid. The whole “floral” act backfired on Miss Lively. Audience called her out many times but Blake Lively didn’t respond to any of the hate and trolls.
