A must win game for Manchester united

Whether you talk about the Premier league or the Europa league, Manchester united isn’t looking very good. The Red devils now sitting at 13th in their league behind Nottingham forest, Bournemouth and Brentford is facing serious issue if they don’t  turn their form. Manchester united has won just two of their 6 premier league games and one of those wins came against 19th place Southampton.

It is safe to assume that Ten hag’s future isn’t looking nailed downed After over 600 million spent on signings since the Dutchman arrived at the summer of 2022. With that kind of money spent the fans as well as to upper management expect a good performance on the pitch.

Although Manchester united haven’t been lucky with injuries as two of his crucial players out injured. New signings Leny Yoro and Left back Luke Shaw sidelined before even the season started and what isn’t helping is the fact that many of Ten Hag’s signings just doesn’t seem to work good in the team. Manchester united this season looks worse than the last even with the new signings.

Between all the signings, only Mazraoui  has been good for the Red devils. So it seems the manager has ran out of all the leeway he’s got and Sunday’s game could be his last managing Manchester United if he doesn’t win the said match. Their opponent Aston Villa however are enjoying a good start to the season and recently, Beaten Bayern Munich in the champions league. Aston Villa looks confident in what they are trying to get done in their matches.

Stats don’t Back up Ten Hag

This premier league season, Manchester United has conceded 11 goals in 9 matches in all competitions, they did score 17 goals in the process but 11 of those came against Barnsley and Southampton. Ten Hag’s men are struggling to keep clean sheets against teams which are even somewhat resilient with their tactics. They lost 3-0 to both Liverpool and Tottenham and were less than convincing in both their attack and defence.

The fans were leaving in droves in their match against Tottenham and were furious with Ten Hag’s tactics with a large portion of them calling out for the sacking of the Dutchman. With the last season ending with an 8th place finish only saved by a win against Manchester city which got them into the Europa league this season, many people are questioning Ten Hag if he is the right man for the job and perhaps it’s time for a change in the managerial position.
