Host of “The Traitors”

It has been an enormous success, with the charisma of Alan Cumming interplaying well with the tension-laden, strategic gameplay in the show. Building off an already super-popular concept for a reality competition in which contestants need to find out traitors amongst themselves, full of strategy, deceit, and alliance-building. Cumming brings all of the theatricality he uses when hosting the show to great dramatic effect. It racks up the tension a notch, but with a sense of fun and interactivity.

Pride and LGBTQ+ Activism

One prominent cause is advocacy relating to equality and acceptance for LGBTQ+, which he has championed and spoken up for many times. Cumming reflects over his own journey and the need for openness about his sexuality, stating that it was people who ‘kept mum’ that really did damage to his career and personal life. He shows tremendous improvement in the representation of LGBTQ+ people and their rights but says there is still much to be done and fought for.
