Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 Release Excitement

NIS has ramped up this weekend with not one but two releases of The Legend Of Heroes. The first part, Trails Through Daybreak, was just released for the worldwide audience. At that very time, NIS also released the trailers for The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2.

It showed that the planned release time is early 2025. Fans are really amped up for this because it means that the second part of the popular RPG(role-playing game) is only one Trails game away. NIS or Nippon Ichi Software is a Japanese company that develops and publishes video games. The Trail Through Daybreak series is written by Hisayoshi Takeiri, Yuuta Miyazaki, and Syunsei Shikata.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 was first released in 2022 in Japan. It was titled “Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki 2-Crimson Sin-” and was made for PS4/PS5. The prequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 was also first launched in Japan in 2021 for PS5.  Now both the Trails games have launched on the same day!

Fans are completely geared up for this! The first game has since been ported to PS5, Switch, and Steam. Reportedly, the localization of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak for English speakers became accessible this month. Both games have been developed by Nihon Falcom.

They are a part of the Trails series that was started in 2004. The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak was released on July 5 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5. The second part will also be released for the same via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG in both English and Japanese with text in English.

The early release may be the result of a leak.

In an article posted by Nintendo Everything on June 25, it reported, “A leak has outed NIS America’s English localization plans for The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak in the West.” The article informs of an X(formerly Twitter) user @Hansuke21, who noticed that the logo changed on their PS5 when they set their system to English. The same thing happens with NISA’s logo for the first Trails Through Darkeness’s Japanese release as well. Still, besides a translated title, fans did not have any more details on the game’s localization.

NIS America(NISA) had been teasing a new revelation for AnimeExpo and most of the audience already presumed it to be The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2. Although Hansuke’s tweet, posted on 26 June 2024, hasn’t gotten much traction standing at 107k views only. But, the numbers are growing by the hour, probably due to the NIS’s official announcement.

The NIS official website describes the game as follows:

What are RPGs?

Role-playing games, or RPGs, are a video game genre where the actions of the character are controlled by the player. The players interact with the game through the fictional characters.
