It has everything that a typical Souls game should have, from a big open world, fantastic boss fights, and a wide variety of weapons to use, it has them all. The game has a lot of areas to be praised, but we will keep our focus on the bosses that Elden Ring has to offer. So, without further ado, let’s go through with the 7 hardest Elden Ring bosses.
Godskin Duo
Godskin Duo is not one of your typical Elden Ring Bosses. They are not massive, they don’t have anything special about them on the surface. What makes them have a place on this list is the sheer annoyance you will have when facing them.
To give context, these two guys are called Godskin Apostle and Godskin Noble. They have a shared health bar which you’ll have to deplete without killing one of them alone. That’s right, you cannot kill one of them earlier, if you do that, the other one will resurrect the fallen one.

Mogh: Lord of Blood
Mogh the lord of blood is found in the Moghwyn palace and is an optional boss in Elden Ring. He is one of the five shard bearers, two of whom you will have to defeat in order to gain access. It’s a typical boss fight on the surface but Mogh has a few special attacks in his arsenal to make him one of the harder Elden Ring bosses.
As his title suggests, many of Mogh’s attacks can cause bleeding and other negative effect. One of its attacks is an unavoidable spell that causes you to take massive chunks of damage and to add insult to injury, restores some of his health. When he goes down to 50% of his health, he starts attacking you with random fire attacks, making moving along the arena even harder.

Astel: Naturalborn of the Void
Astel is one of those Elden Ring bosses who doesn’t have many variations of attacks and different types of powers. But he makes up for it by being this enormously absurd creature that has the players thinking about where they will even hit him during the fight.
One of the optional Elden Ring bosses you encounter in the game, Astel can be found in the deepest parts of Grand Cloister. When you first encounter him, you will have to think about how to attack him because of his unorthodox shape and enormous size. He fundamentally doesn’t have any mind-blowing ability like some of the other Elden Ring bosses, but his shape makes it very hard to fight him. Combine that with his almost unavoidable slam attack, and Astel is easily one of the hardest bosses you fight in Elden Ring.

Godfrey: First Elden Lord / Hoarah Loux
Found in the Ashen Capital, Godfrey the first Elden Lord is one of the main bosses and is mandatory to beat if you want to progress further in the game. Even though you encounter him earlier in his ghost form, he is much more dangerous in Ashen Capital. His attacks are much stronger this time around which means you don’t get too much room for mistakes.
When you bring him to his half HP, a cutscene triggers and he transforms into a beast. Abandoning his main weapon, he starts charging at you with grab attacks and slam attacks. The fight at this point becomes much more critical as he can kill you at once if he manages to grab you. When it comes to sheer strength, Godfrey is hands-down one of the best Elden Ring bosses.

Starscourge Radahn
Starscourge Radahn, one of the most infamous bosses in Elden Ring would probably be higher on the list if it weren’t for the amount of summons the game lets you use during your fight with him. Found in the Caelid, this Elden Ring boss has its own aura. Before you even encounter him, certain NPCs will start announcing the Radahn festival where you get to face him.
In the fight, you are allowed to summon warriors to your aid as much as you like. There are many summoning spots scattered around the boss arena. But this doesn’t mean that the fight will be an easy one. Radahn is powerful and quick, thanks to the horse that he rides. Not only his attacks are fast, but they also have a high range. All of these qualities make Radahn one of the fiercest Elden Ring bosses.

Malenia: Blade of Miquella
Malenia is one of the hardest Elden Ring bosses. The only thing forgiving about her is that she is an optional boss in Elden Ring. You can find Malenia in Elphael in the brace of the Haligtree. Her standard attacks are strong in itself but she restores a chunk of her health each time she hits you. If you aren’t careful she will heal faster than you can attack her.
Even if you manage to beat her first form, her second form is a step above. When she loses 50% of her health, she grows her wings and takes the second form. This form is on another level of difficulty. Many players die instantly to her second form because her blows are almost unavoidable. Malenia is one of those bosses you can brag about if you manage to beat her. She’s truly one the hardest Elden Ring bosses and it’s not an exaggeration.
