A couple of skilled prop-masters have created an almost exact replica of ‘Wraith Fire’, a lethal grenade from Call of Duty(COD): Black Ops 4. The replica was so realistic that fans wanted to drink it! The blue cylindrical vial-like equipment is a notable tool that is featured in the Zombies and Blackout modes.

Edible Equipment?

You may remember the “Is this cake?” challenge that went viral on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Very realistic cakes were made of random items like a basketball, burgers, books, and even taps! Yet, this time it’s not the same. COD fans want to actually consume an inedible prop, regardless of the consequences.

The Reddit handle “The Apopalypse” are a couple who make props and cosplay items. They shared their replica of ‘Wraith Fire’ on their account on Reddit. Fans were quick to notice how realistic it looked.

The cylindrical vails looks captivating with the rusty exterior protection bars and the sea blue liquid. Despite the fact that it was a prop, probably meant to be sold, fans conveyed their desire to actually consume the liquid. One Reddit user openly commented, “I wanna drink em”, under the OP’s post. Another adds, “Like the other comments said, it looks like that  blue liquid at barbershops that I want to drink.”

Black Ops 6 release date revealed!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has now been confirmed to be releasing later this year. The game was made by Treyarch, in collaboration with Raven. It is revealed that the new Bo6 will come out on October 25, 2024 on PS5, XSX|S, PC, XBO, and PS4.  The story revolves around the Gulf War that started in 1990, lasting a year. It has Iraq and an alliance of 42 countries. The United States leads this coalition but the map is mainly set in the Middle East. This upcoming COD will also include the popular Zombie mode. For Game Pass subscribers, it is also set to be available on day one.

The announcement was well overdue as fans had been waiting for the  update from a long time. With cutting edge technology, you can “push beyond your limits.” The game boasts a cinematic single-player interface. This first-rate multiplayer option will have completely new 16 maps on launch with 6v6 and 2v2 options. If you preorder the Vault Edition, you’ll unlock the Hunters vs Hunted Operator Pack which includes skins for Klaus, Park, Brutus and Adler. The fan-favorite mode, Round-Based Zombies, have made a comeback with two brand new maps at launch.

Honestly, the autumn release of Bo6 may be a little positive nod towards its birth month. The first Call of Duty game was released in October 2003. As a matter of fact, it has had consistent releases since then. Due to this, it is now a massive franchise with blockbuster editions every year.

More than 400 million COD videogames that have been sold over the years. Despite having the brooding backdrop of World War 2, the game does not need mental grinds. You can just switch off your brain and enter into a whole new world. You can even just watch things explode if you’d like.

COD remains the best-selling videogame franchise of the US and rightfully so. It has also garnered a loyal fanbase regardless of changing times. In 2023, Microsoft took over Activision Blizzard, the parent company of Call Of Duty, making them its official owner. It was a $68.7 billion acquisition and the biggest in the gaming world. That being said, Activision was allowed to act as a separate business. They will continue their role of publishing games made in their own studio.
