Most Powerful Path of Exile 2 Classes You Can Choose
There are currently 6 classes available in the early access of the game and all of them are unique from one another. Today we will go through each of these classes and try to rank them. It is important to mention that each class differs the gameplay by a fair bit so it varies how much you’d like a class based on your preference. So without further ado, let’s start with today’s list of Path of Exile 2 classes.

Mercenary
The Mercenary class is one of the most interesting Path of Exile 2 classes released so far. The character lets you use a crossbow with a wide variety of destructive ammunitions. This class is not as complex as some of the other classes in PoE 2.
There are two main ascending classes you can obtain with this class, ascending classes can be obtained by completing Ascension trials at different stages of your playthrough. These ascendances let you choose different paths for your playthrough. There are different elemental attacks to use such as ice or fire for this class as well as various attachments to your crossbow. For those of you who like some good shooting-style gameplay with satisfying action, you will certainly do well with the Mercenary.

Witch
The Witch class is for those who prefer a more passive approach to their gameplay. The witch can use various ranged attacks as well as casting spells at your enemies. You can summon permanent minions that will fight for you, on top of this, you can even use dead enemies to your advantage even if temporarily.
This class is not about taking things into your own hands but rather having spells to do them for you. The witch class also has two cool ascendancy classes such as the Infernalist and the Bloodmage. So if you want to play as a powerful witch with lots of magic and spells, you should go for the Witch class.

Monk
The Monk is one of the six Path of Exile 2 classes that use a quarter-staff as the main weapon. This class has a lot of cool combinations of elements you can use to enhance your attacks further making it a really cool character to play as. Monk uses elements such as lightning ice and wind to their attacks. Some of the combinations of these elements can be fun to use as they can increase damage if used correctly.
The Monks also has two interesting ascendancy classes, The Invoker and The Acolyte both having their own buffs and advantages. The Monk is an agile class in Path of Exile 2 so if you like quick action in your playthrough, you can’t go wrong with The Monk.

Warrior
Warrior is the most simple take on the action part of Path of Exile 2. If you’re someone who likes to take on a bunch of enemies all alone, the Warrior class is certainly for you. It mainly uses melee weapons and a shield for combat and it can be further improved using the skills letting you have charged attacks and yielding two-handed weapons in one hand. The melee combat with the Warrior class is really fun to play with various abilities complementing the combat. The warrior class has Warbringer and Titan as the ascendancy classes, one having a defense boost while the other has a melee combo and totem summoning.

Sorceress
The Sorceress is somewhat similar to the Witch class, an elemental mage that relies heavily on casting spells and using elements in their attacks. There are various types of attacks and ways of using abilities such as firewalls and mana. There are also trigger gems that let you cast spells for free. This unlike some of the other Path of Exile 2 classes is not the best in terms of defense but there are countermeasures that can be taken to reduce the risk of failing. The Sorceress also has two ascendancy classes which include Stormweaver which focuses on elemental attacks and Cronomancer which helps you more in survival. If you like to take the magic approach, Sorceress would be a good fit for you.

Ranger
The sixth and final Path of Exile 2 classes released early access is the Ranger. The Ranger shares similarities with the Mercenary class, which has a bow and arrows as its main weapons. The Ranger can fire any arrow while moving, and there are different types of arrows, such as freezing arrows and explosive arrows.
You can also use your bow to snipe off the enemies if you are good with ranged attacks. The attacks deal critical damage if you release the arrows at the right moment. This class also has two interesting ascendancy classes to choose from, Deadeye which increases damage and movement speed, and Pathfinder which improves poison attacks you have in your arsenal. If you like ranged attacks in an RPG, you should try picking the Ranger in PoE 2.

These are the first 6 Path of Exile 2 classes released in the early access. The developers do plan to include 6 other classes in the full release as they are constantly trying to improve this unique RPG. The classes we broke down are very different from one another so many of you will find one class better than the other. All of the classes have their own strengths and weaknesses and you should play with the one that fits you best.
