Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk2  is a genius blend of management games with rigid challenges. In a management game, you are the one who is in charge and must do everything to maintain the survival of yourself and the people under you. In the smash-hit prequel Frostpunk, the earth is overwhelmed with endless frost and harsh conditions. In the brand new Frostpunk2, the time is set 30 years after the first apocalyptic storm, although Earth still faces rough, unfavorable weather conditions.

However, this time the goal is more than to survive a winter merely. The player becomes a Steward, the leader of a city or a metropolis with citizens who are hungry for resources. The Steward must build the City on a new scale with a planned distinction of districts. They also need to make sure that all parts of the city are cooperating. with one another. The co-director of Frostpunk2, Jakub Stolaski, assures fans that the new sequel is vastly different than the original.

“What players should expect is a wide universe of choices, the freedom to shape the society and the city however they see fit – and reap the consequences”, he adds.

Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong, developed by Game Science, is a visually splendid RPG that is inspired by the classic 16-century Chinese epic, Journey to the West. Four years ago, in 2020, Game Science released a beta gameplay video that was about 13 minutes long. As the name reveals players take the role of the Monkey King, the celestial being from Journey To The West.

His storyline is very popular and has seen various renditions in movies, TV shows, and animated series. In Black Myth: Wukong, the warrior has to travel to unknown lands, fighting deadly monsters with his magical staff, supernatural powers, and excellent martial arts. The protagonist is also able to transform into other creatures. They use that ability to either assist during a fight or reach parts of the world that are otherwise inaccessible in their original form.

The gameplay had already been displayed during the The Game Awards 2023, which was held in December. The release date was announced in the recent showcase of the game’s trailer at WeGame 2024. It features spectacular Unreal Engine 5 graphics with a challenging Soullike Combat. Fans of RPGs think that Black Myth: Wukong may attract more attention to the use of Chinese myths and legends in role-playing situation games. Another recently released Eastern-themed RPG is ‘Faith of Danschant: Hereafter’.

Age of Mythology Retold

Age of Mythology: Retold, is a new strategy game published by Xbox Game Studios and developed by World’s Edge and Forgotten Empires. It is a remastered version of ‘Age of Mythology(2003)’, that was originally developed by Ensemble Studios. It is a real-time game where the world of humans and myths come together spanning 50 missions across a large, mythical universe.

In the new installment, the developers have claimed improved graphics and character design. It had been in the works for a long time, therefore the fans were excited to hear the announcement of its release. Its initial release date is set at the 28th of August this year. The developers are adding new soundtracks, modern tweaks, and more options for players in the new Retold version. It will be made using the Definitive Edition’s version of Bang Engine.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an upcoming survival video game, developed and published by GSC Game World. It is a first-person shooter role-playing game(RPG) with horror elements. The game is highly anticipated by fans as the prequel, Stalker: Call of Pripyat(2009), was a huge hit among the audience. The players must pull through all resorts to survive within The Zone, an area around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster site, by scavenging for sustenance. GSC Game World is a Ukrainian-based company and uses the spelling of ‘Chornobyl’ rather than the Westernized Chornobyl.

Stalker 2 is the fourth installment in the game series which features an open-world environment. There are day and night cycles with varying weather conditions. The players must fend themselves against different types of creatures that have been mutated by the disaster in the nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, the player must also search for valuable items including food and beverage. They also explore uninhabited cities all the while maintaining their health and fighting monsters.

Silent Hill 2 Remake

The release date for Silent Hill 2 is set for the 8th of October, this year, for PlayStation 5 and Windows. The Bloober Team remake of Silent Hill 2 is highly awaited by players. The remake remains faithful to the original narrative where you take on the role of James, who meets various peculiar strangers on his way through the gloomy and foggy avenue and desolate buildings of Silent Hill.

Some new puzzles have been added along with the return of old ones. Fans should expect major technological upgrades as it’s been more than 20 years since the original release. It’s made using Unreal Engine 5 and features way better graphics than the last one.
