It is only natural to see a game being made about the movie. In 2006, EA released The Godfather based on the movie series. While the game consisted only of the elements that the movie showed the audience, EA did a wonderful job with the materials they had from the movies.

The game even featured some of the actors of the original movie like Marlon Brando as the Godfather which elevated the game even further. X-Men Origins: Wolverine came out in 2009 developed by Raven Software. The game was based on the 2009 film of the same name. It was a hack-n-slash game which was simple in its core but was a blast to play.

The game featured some of the iconic characters that also featured in the movie. Characters like Gambit, Sabretooth, and Deadpool make the game even more iconic. But the department in which the game flourishes is the combat. The combat system for the game was perfect for a Wolverine game. The feeling of being Wolverine eating bullets left and right while slashing waves of enemies hit differently. The game was arguably better than the movie because it showed gruesome details of a typical Wolverine kill, which would make it even more Wolverine than the movie in some parts.

But sadly game didn’t get as much attention at that time as it deserved. It’s still one of the most underrated superhero games and definitely deserves some more love. If you haven’t played it, give this game a try, you certainly won’t regret it.
